This self-produced DIY album is a noticeable departure from the bands previous works in both tone and content. Rather than being recorded together in a studio with a full lineup of musicians, the songs were pieced together track by track, often one instrument at a time, with Latimer writing, recording, and performing most of the content in a variety of settings and contexts, in collaboration with Aimless alumni old and new. The songs were written without concern over whether or not they would work for any particular lineup or live setting, but were instead created just to see where they ended up. The result is without a doubt the most experimental Aimless album to date, and has since become the blueprint for our ongoing creative efforts.
